The Fernery began with a simple idea: even when the world slows down, life should keep growing.
In 2020, when staying home became the new going out, we started Denver Plant Delivery. People were nesting, rediscovering their spaces, and finding comfort in the little things. A beautiful new plant could transform a room, brighten an afternoon, or bring a little joy into an otherwise uncertain world.
And we could deliver that joy right to their doorstep.
What began as a convenient, safe way to bring plants home quickly became something more meaningful.
A Little Green Goes a Long Way
As the world opened back up, something wonderful happened. Our customers kept sending plants, but the reasons began to change.
A lush houseplant became a thoughtful birthday surprise. A sculptural succulent welcomed someone into their first home. An elegant orchid offered congratulations, gratitude, or a simple reminder that someone was thinking of them.
And, of course, there were plenty of occasions that needed no explanation beyond I saw it. I loved it. I bought it.

We discovered that plants weren't simply something people wanted in their homes. They were something people wanted to share.
Growing Into Something Extraordinary
As our community grew, so did our vision.
We expanded beyond houseplants, introducing distinctive planters, botanical puzzles, thoughtfully chosen gifts, and beautiful little discoveries inspired by the natural world. Our brick-and-mortar boutique gave customers another way to explore, connect, and find something unexpected.
Over time, it became clear that we were creating more than a plant delivery service.
We were creating a botanical lifestyle.
And so, The Fernery took root.
